The 83rd edition of the 2026 Golden Globe Awards celebrated last night the most outstanding achievements in film and television from the past season in a vibrant ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, hosted by Nikki Glaser and broadcast on TNT.

The night was dominated by One Battle After Another, which became the most awarded film, taking home four Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, and Best Screenplay, as well as a supporting performance award for Teyana Taylor.

In the drama category, Hamnet shone brightly, winning Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actress for Irish actress Jessie Buckley, whose intense and vulnerable performance takes the story to unexplored corners and culminates in a devastating finale. Meanwhile, Sinners received Best Original Score and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, standing out both for its musical composition and its impact in theaters.

One of the evening’s most positive surprises came with The Secret Agent, the Brazilian film that won Best Foreign Language Film, while Wagner Moura was crowned Best Actor for his performance, surpassing competitors such as Paul Mescal (Hamnet), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Dwayne Johnson (The Smashing Machine), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), and Michael B. Jordan (Sinners). Another incredible year for Brazilian cinema, following last year’s success with I’m Still Here, confirming its growing international presence.

On the television side, the night also had major winners. The Pitt was named Best Drama Series, while The Studio, created and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, won Best Musical or Comedy Series, establishing itself as the season’s standout comedy. In the limited series category, Adolescence swept multiple acting awards, including Best Actor for Stephen Graham.
